The victim, Ray Littrell, was a friend of my FIL who is naturally upset and it thus upsets my wife. The report says that it was over tools, but in reality it was because of the grandchild's welfare having a drug addict for a father. It's a good thing that his son's .40 caliber pistol only had 8 shots or he would have shot his brother, Chris, too. I guess addicts don't plan too well. This happened in the town in which I was a LEO from 1989 to 1993. I had spoken with the victim several times for run of the mill things like his business doors left unlocked and whatnot, but that's the extent of my relationship with him. My FIL's sewing machine shop was next to Ray's shop, and he worked with Ray having painted several of his race cars.

Clay County is pretty free with the death penalty in such matters,so I'm sure sonny-boy will get what's coming to him...eventually.

The only way I could shoot a family member would be in self defense of myself, other family members present or innocent people in danger..........jmho
