Range Day...

I'm starting to feel like a popsicle around here lately, but not today...

 

Today as you know, it made it to 64 degrees here in my neck of the woods in the Southern-Antarctic. And what do normal people do when they get a break while the permafrost is thawing? They grab a buddy and go to the shooting range of course!

 

Shot my new generation three Glock 26 for the first time and it shot flawlessly naturally. Really like the Talon grip I installed on it so much, going to put one on my G19. In fact, the Kimber Pro Raptor II and the Ruger LCP went bang each and every time, and that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside despite the impending 4 degree lows for the next couple of days. Now I have a bunch of guns to clean tomorrow in my igloo to keep me busy while eye balling the glacier making it my way and global warming.

 

A buddy got a new Colt Defender that I got to shoot, that's one sweet shooter and perfect for self defense. I don't believe I would use it for my IDPA matches at the distances we shoot. At my age my eyes aren't what they use to be but, not only could I not pick up the sights, I couldn't even find them :ugh:

Same here ....nice day today.

 A friend and I got out today for some practice, first time since October believe it or not.

Between bad weather and hunting season and the holidays.

 

Anyway didn't do to bad, shot drills for about 3 hours straight.

Put 517 rounds rounds through my LB SS PII no malfunctions or problems.

All draw from concealment drills, just basic practice.

Was actually quite pleased with how well it went considering the lenght of time since

I shot pistols last.
