Just in case I don't show up for a couple days don't want ya'll to worry. I just had an electrician the future new landlords sent here to change out a few plugs and before I couldget things shut down he strated throwing breakers in panel and he blew my main computer and it will not power up now. Thank God this old back up was not turned on so I am writing on it at present and will take my main tower in for repairs tomorrow. I told the idiot what he did and all he said was "sorry" and walked out the door. I'm sorry too because I will be sending the new owners a bill for their electricians stupidity when my computer is repaired. I had a few buddys over here when he did it so have witnesses. So just in case someone wonders where I am at that will be at the computer shop getting repairs................    .

That sucks, I don't know why but I run into more brain dead "electricians" than any other tradesmen. I've met a few not so great carpenters too, but the bad electricians really scare me.

Don't think I've met an incompetent plumber or hvac guy yet though.

What ever happened to common courtesy!  Gees.....He could have just warned all of the residents.  I guess that was too much effort.  What if someone was on a CPAP machine, and died from the sleep apnea when the power was cut off.  I guess "sorry" would work in this case too.

May want to try calling the company to get it replaced. When we first launched our own service, we were using USB Cat. 5 adapters and internal cards. I know I spent about 3 months taking care of problems where our Service Techs had blown people's computers. The problem they had was that before anyone cracked a computer, we would offer a self install kit. If they refused because they didn't know how to do it, then they signed a waiver acknowledging that once we cracked the computers the warranty was void and that they were responsible for any damage. We bought a lot of computers and components anyway. But it was usually after I did some investigating and found that yes, our guys were at fault. (They were all new to broadband as well).
