I know it's an old thread but I got the bullet and powder out tonight. I cleaned it up good, well with Gun Scrubber, Rem Oil, and patches. I need to get a .50 cal brass brush. It actually cleaned up really good.

Hey rugerla1, don't fret none. It woulda took me 10 months to work up the nerve to pull that boolit out too!!!  :hiding: :biglol:

Does it have a removable breach plug? If not Rurerla1, be very careful using a wire brush in the bore. They have a nasty habit of getting stuck in the breech. I have two friends that have already stuck one this year.

Not really relevant now since you got it out, but one of these comes in very handy if you ever get one stuck thats hanging on for dear life and can't be pulled. I had to use one on a rifle couple of years ago. The puller attachment broke off in the conical bullet way down near the breach, so I couldn't get another to thread in. This little gadget did the trick.
