Advise on carrying the XDs with Springfield holster...

Careful where you place it on your side.

You know those stupid copper colored blue-jean rivets at your pockets?

Well, the left-side close to the end of my slide rubbed that stupid thing and looks like someone took a copper colored ink pen and marked on it a bit.

I know I can get it off because it started coming off when I cleaned it some, but ran out of time and had to leave the house.

But prolonged wearing with the XDs in that position would surely wear some scratches in to the slide.

Excuse the oil on the plastic. I was trying to clean off that copper junk.

So the barrel sticks out of the end of whatever holsters y'all are using, eh? There is a solution for that. :)

Yeah, just enough of the slide sticks out the the XDs holster for it to hit the rivet in the pocket of your jeans.

I was just wearing it around the house when it happened.

When I left out, I switched to this one.

Yep, that's the solution.

I didn't know anyone actually used the XD Gear holsters. :)

I do while doing stuff like mowing the yard or changing the oil in my truck.

What he said.  I use it as a beat around out back holster.  I can't see using it for EDC though.

Happened to me also.
Two questions
Are the factory holsters IPDA compliant.
Which holster is that in the picture above

Only complaint is when it was new, it was really stiff/tight and the inside felt really rough.

It's breaking and starting to smooth out nicely with the help of some gun oil and use.

I thought all XD-Gear holsters were screwed under truck dash boards.

That's one of the few places they work well.

Yea I did not know any one used them either. Not a fan of them never have taken them out of the box on any XD I own.

Jason

I've taken them out of the box several times and tried to holster and draw with them. That's about as far as I ever got.

I just can't warm up to them. I prefer a leather holster or belt slide.
