It's tough when dads aren't doing well. They're the ones supposed to be worried about/for you, and instead that role gets flipped about, often with little or no warning. I sympathise, and empathize with what you all are going through. Not alot of fun.

Thoughts going out for you all, keep your eye on that hunting trip and make sure your dad does too, the worst part of cancer treatments (in my second hand experience) is that they can zap not only your strength, but your will to get better. Keep him motivated on tomorrow.

Prayers coming in from here in Gallatin for your father and your family. My father also had it and he beat it and went on to live another 10 years before being taken by a heart attack so don't give up on him just yet. Things to treat it have improved a lot since my father had it.........

My dad had pancreatic cancer. TrickyNicky said it pretty well about dad's being sick.
Dad called the chemo they ran through him "alligator piss." It really zapped him. He also had a Whipple surgery. Pancreatic cancer is very scary when you start reading about it. But they say a very small percentage are even elgible for surgery so that is optimistic that your father is.
It's a tough fight.
Prayers to ya'll.

So sorry to hear about your dad.

My uncle came down with pancreatic cancer over 11 years ago and he, along with everyone else thought that life was over for him. After his chemo, surgery and what ever other treatments he had, he is doing fine now with no trace of the cancer at all.

Sure hope all works out well for your dad.

Edited added an update

Just an update. Dad's chemo starts tomorrow. He is rather grouchy normally so he will probably be a handful for my mom and the doctors. My sister and her family moved in with my parents last fall. So mom will have some help with dad.

Just got off the phone with him. The pathologist told him there were stage four cells in his biopsy. That ain't good. Stage four pancreatic cancer is a tough bitch.
