Amazon sales tax update

Well, not really an update.  More an 'Hey, I hadn't noticed that before' thing.  I put it all in an image so could just link it to people without having to type anything extra.  Short version is I have placed one order this year where I paid sales tax, and then another order where I didn't have any.  I went back and looked and this is what I noticed.

Noticed this too, but I'm going the tax route now so I don't get one of those "You owe xx amount in TN sales tax" emails from them. My luck isn't so good.

I have placed one order and I was not charged tax either.  I was going to keep my mouth shut about it.

It was probably one of the two examples I listed above.  Looks like you'll only get sales tax if it's sold by Amazon directly. Fulfilled by Amazon doesn't count.

yup, kinda sure of that now.

 

I brought a remote keyless entry pad for my truck.  7 dollars shipped.  got it today and it programed first try.  Hate to think would Ford would have charged me for that.
