Unfortunately,

 

regime change rarely improves life of the victims. 

 

Usually a despotic regime is replaced by one that is even more despotic until the cycle is broken a few hundred years later.  I hope this one is an exception.

Like anywhere else in the world, change must come from The People. Too many are brainwashed, and too few are willing to risk the possibility of paying the ultimate price.  When comparing North Korea to the U.S., there are many parallels.

That's a pretty broad brush stroke - can you clarify and expound on that?

 

I personally believe (having met a few communist block subjects, and visited homes & neighborhoods) that we are many orders of magnitude removed from the model presented by the NORKS.

thanks for this, I've always been interested in the Korean peninsula issues and it's rare to find legit coverage from there.
