Anyone Nashville local have code reader for Ford RABS Help!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I need to rent, barrow a scanner that will read Ford RABS code for ABS light. It has the ROUND 2 pin/wire housing diagnostic port and not the one black and orange wire that you ground out and count the flashing light.

Have abs light on that I believe is the guilty culprit affecting my shifting of my E4OD.

Can either rent it or leave deposit or pay you to come plug up and tell me what the code is. I am in Donelson.

I believe my scanner(Snap-On Solus) will do it but I need to look through my adapters to verify I haven't misplaced the correct one for your application when I get home. If you can post or link a pic of the diag. port and the specifics of the vehicle it would help me confirm the plug is correct.(there are a bunch of them)  If you can't find anyone closer I'm happy to try and help.

Cant you have Advance or Auto Zone read the codes for you?

Most parts stores can only read OBDII emissions codes. There are a lot more modules in most relatively modern cars that the OBDII scanner doesn't communicate with which require factory style diagnostics.

1992 ford e350 7.3 E4OD

Long story short. Supposed to have RABS test connect that is one wire you ground out and the dash ABS light will flash, you count flash to get code. Mine won't it stays lit. So was suggested to get HIGH end scanner to plug up to the round 2 pin port next to the EEC-IV port to get codes.  And of course that tech may have been wrong as he acted like the possibility of working on a 1992 did not seem like a thrilling adventure.
