Since EASing from the Marine Corps, I've been working on my AR turning from a fixed carry handle M4 to something I could show off. I picked up a PSA blemish lower, some rails, a Magpul BAD lever, and a MOE stock. I just finished painting it, let me know what you think. I have a cheap $30 light on there that's not in the pictures til I can afford a good one.

I like your assistant. He reminds me of mine.

The paint job is fantastic, as is the labrador.

Here's my buddy Jake, 130 lbs. of eating and sleeping machine.  He's a darned battleship of a dog:

A lab is more human than a lot of humans!

That is very nice!  What kind of paint did you use?

It's just spray paint that I had left over from the PX on base. Krylon, Aervoe, and then Skilcraft; nothing special.

I have NEVER liked camo painted rifles... or camo anything, really.

UNTIL I saw YOUR gun!  Holy smokes that is just incredible! That thing must just plain old disappear outside.  Better not put it down!

Just today I started looking into another AR build.  I'm thinking a 16" lightweight, iron sights, bare bones, lightweight weapon.  Now, I'm thinking it's gotta end up with that camo scheme on it.  You wanna paint some more?!  :x:

Wow, just saw this. I'd be willing to help anyone that wants to do it, but the best/coolest part of this is having done it yourself.

I camo'd one of my AR's and it came out decent but then I got tired of it and it was a pain in the ass to get rid of all the paint. ACETONE takes it off really easy the hard part is getting into the little nooks and crannies and that's what annoyed me.
