It's getting to be a daily report of some gun owner misplacing a firearm. We really have to do better.

It appears that Lauren Tannehill, wife of Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, forgot to give her rental car a once-over before she returned it earlier this month. Yeah, she left behind her AR-15.

My question is why was the gun in a rental car to begin with? Also I would like to know the name of the car rental agency that does not check their cars out and clean them up before the next rental. Sounds like a pretty poor rental company. I bet you could leave a dead body in one of their cars trunk and not notice it till the smell got someones attention.  Very poor way of doing business and being blonde does not give her an excuse to leave the weapon in the car..............jmho

People make mistakes brosef. From a hypothetical standpoint, let's say your significant other has a thousand dollar purse and she asks you to get it before returning the vehicle and you forget to do so. While I understand that this is rather far fetched for Joe Blows such as ourselves my point remains the same.

First of all, you usually can't tell if they're a blonde from a picture. Reminds me of the old joke... What do you get when you turn a blonde upside down? A brunette.

I have tested this theory many times, BTW.

Could this have happened? Quarterback takes wife's rental to the range and comes home with AR locked in the trunk. Has to go really bad so runs in the house to one of 19 bathrooms. Wife sees rental in driveway and remembers it needs to be returned. Takes car back and doesn't look in trunk because she hasn't used it. Hmmm. I would give her a pass.
