Whilst I hope he's either rotting in a cell or catches one between the eyes early on if things do go south, he's probably a good object lesson of why it's a good idea to have a close-knit group than trying to go it alone. There will be gangs of bandits (for that is what they are) like his if stuff does go down and it will be hard to defend as a small unit. Unfotunately, this is an area I'm lacking in myself.

Outsource and get in touch with local like minded individuals. That's what I did, it turns out some of my old high school chums are preppers as well.

He had better move to New England or California if he wants to be successful in "taking" other peoples stuff. Somehow I don't think his homade body armor is going to stop a good ol 30-06. These "reality" shows are entertaining sometimes but most all are about 75% scripted and maybe 25% reality.

Meh, they've got plenty of -06 in Ca as well. He'd likely fare better in the upper east. The vatos down in East Los won't have any harder a time with him than the good ole boys here. Probably less as they're not exactly known for their strong moral fiber ya know.

Looks like the producers of that show got what they wanted.  ;)

 

Furthermore if I was in the prepping business, I sure wouldn't follow a fathead like that.  You're liable to wake up being eaten when resources get tight.
