Are You A Real, Gun Using, Outdoors Kind Of Man?

Nope.  Outdoors is uncomfortable, fulla bugs, sunburns, and other aggravations.  Heck with that stuff.  If this is what it takes to be a real man, count me out.

Hah.  Good article.  I agree with most of it.  Very little I take issue with.  Screw Schnees, though....Russell Moc is my pref.

I like the article and back in my younger days I would have fit in with most of his comments. Now that i have some age on me I am not as incline to be that man as I use to be but still am to a point. Just don't spend as much time out doors. Could probably still saddle a horse but my body would hate me for a while after doing it and would probably put me in bed if I rode one any length of time but I use to dearly love it and when I was still in high school I worked on a real horse ranch all summer each year.........I kinda know where he is coming from but cannot go there any more.    I like the thoughts of Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch a lot better these days than this article but both good...................jmho

"And never, ever open carry a Glock unless you are a cop. Nobody wants to see that ugly thing."

Heh. That's funny.

I can check off most of those and the rest are on the "to do" list. Except Schnees... I'm with homeagain, Russel Moccasins rule!

I spend alot of time outdoors, infact I work outdoors. I do and have done alot of those things, never heard of the Schnees before though, sorry. I usually have a sharp knife with me most of time, as for the Glock, well don't and never have even owned one. Of the six lever action rifles I own only two are scoped. I do have a .35, but mine is a pump, will some day add one in a lever. Stil own and ride horses so I guess I can saddle one. Elmer Keith, who, only kidding guys. Oh yeah, have two dogs but they sleep in the house, but love being outside and chasing the tree rats.
