Simple source for current carry laws?

Is anyone aware of a mildly user-friendly source for current gun laws?

I am particularly interested in the laws concerning establishments that serve alcohol..

When I got my permit, it was a strict no, end of story.  I have heard and read this was reversed a while back to allow carry in a reastaurant/bars as long as you are not drinking.

Input?  Thanks!!

Just read the statutes for yourself if you like at:

http://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/tncode/

You want section 39-17-13xx. 39-17-1321 specifically, for carry and booze.

As far as guns and booze,

- you can carry anywhere booze is sold for on-site consumption or of course carry-out also.

- take one sip of booze there and it's a Class A misdemeanor, also same penalty for being under the influence and carrying anywhere.

- if you are also found to be under the influence in alcohol serving establishment, you lose permit for 3 years also.

And as long as the bar/restaurant is not posted(no guns) by the owners.

I also understand that in a restaurant you can't sit at the actual bar but at a table not connected to the bar. I could be wrong about that though.

You are indeed wrong about that in TN.
