Got a confirmation from PSA today, they said I should have my complete upper by the 20th, should I expect this, or just ignore it?

I ordered a blemished lower Christmas day and got it today. But it was only $169 and the blemish is two tiny pin prick bare aluminum dots on the mag well. I would say after the first time I take it out it would qualify as blemished. Super happy.

Not even close. Russian surplus is easier to find due to them not being stingy assholes when it comes to ammo. Hell, there's more ak's out there than people in all of north america.

Some websites are offering them. I found another can of 5.45x39 locally and debating if I want to pick it up or save my money and buy something at the boro gun show tomorrow. Need a new pistol anyways.

Where is all this surplus Russian 7.62x39 ammo y'all are talking about?

I've still got some surplus 7.62x39 but I'm pretty sure it is Romanian or Yugo or something.

Not sure I've seen surplus rounds from any country in the better part of a decade. For x39 that is.

Last I saw was Bulgarian a few years ago.  Cost as much as brand-new commercial stuff.  That was just after the Yugo dried up, maybe 3-4 years ago.

Isnt what the metal sardine cans are? Surplus ammo? If not, then I am sorry, I had it misunderstood.

No.  Russians still pack brand new ammo into those cans to chisel a few more dollars out of you.

Long story short, there is no more 7.62x39 surplus unless you buy it from somebody's stash.  There is still 5.45x39 surplus available from all the regualr dealers.  How long that lasts is anyone's guess.  Not to much longer I imagine.

Makes since now. I always assumed it was surplus due to a majority of it being steel.

Upper came in, looks great. A few scratches on the ejection port cover, but not a big deal.

Like, the gas block wasn't aligned.. Luckily it was an easy fix since the gas block was barely tightened down. Interesting that PSA uses no Loc-tite, doesn't dimple the barrel, and just halfway tightens the set screws...and this was a "premium" upper. I don't fault them too much though. The assembled upper was probably less than what I could have bought the parts for...and the parts look good! Sent via Tapatalk. Blame the phone for any spelling issues.
