Anybody going to this at the national guard armory? Anyone ever been to one in Dayton, I'd imagine they are small? Care to shed some light....?

I had a table at the very first one, the house was full and it was great on Saturday. On Sunday, there were more dealers than customers, all day long! They should have made it a 1 day only show.

I've been back once since, and I don't know if it was no advertising, the first day of hunting season, a UT football game or what, but the Saturday crowd never happened. Probably not even 1/3 of the crowd they had the first time. I wouldn't expect much, and certainly wouldn't drive any distance to go to it.

I figure as long as I live about 10 minutes from it, I should give it a shot. Who knows what good things I might find. I'm sure there is SOMETHING there that has my name written all over it.

I went to the one last year in July.It was hot and very little parking.I did find a deal on some Wolf .223.$3 a box IIRC.Don't expect much but you never know what you may find.I think I will pass this one up.Who knows maybe RK will buy out this promoter and put on a bigger show somewhere else.TRI-STATE EXPO CENTER in Cleveland perhaps.

I've lived in Dayton most of my life and I've never knew they had a gun show here.

This has been moved from the armory to the american legion hall in dayton.

Is that close to the Armory?. I am not real familier with Dayton.

This show promoter is either the most inept promoter ever, or has the worst luck. Probably does a hundred times better than I could do, but still . . . . .

Map to the Legion hall, it's at 378 1st Street, 1 block off the historic courthouse.

Yeah, if I didn't work really close to the armory I would have never seen the sign saying its at the legion hall. If its at the legion hall, this is going to be a SMALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL show.

I've been there, but I've been up and down Hwy 11 all my life and NEVER heard of Tasso before!

Is there actually a little unincorporated sign on the road?

Just got back from the show $5.00 to get in 15 minutes to get out. what a wast. very small. high priced used guns.

Posted

It only took me 10 min. And 5 of those were me selling a Glock to Old Ron.

Posted

If Ronnie bought your Glock, you sold it too cheap.

Just kidding. (maybe!) :D

Barney Fife rousted another forum member and I for sitting and shooting the BS on the bench in front of the public library with guns. Likely it was my rifle that caused it, and it did feel funny sitting in front of a library with an M44.

What makes you think Tasso is on US 11?

Posted

It was cheap,I needed the gas money. This God Damn economy/election year is killing me.

Oh, okay, I zoomed in...it's a mile or less off US11. So its "boundaries" don't actually reach the highway, huh?

Oh, it is on the map?

Tasso is a state of mind.

Any word that the next one will be back at the NG armory? Also who is the promoter for this show?
