Actually I watched the videos. Witness says he did not see what happened. Sheriff, shooter, an lawyers all say the man that was shot started the altercation then turned around an became fiscal with the 71 year old man on oxygen.

So that's why he's in jail with a murder charge? And how would the guy texting be the one starting the altercation if it was the other guy who had the problem? Did the texting man just assume the guy had a problem so he tried to fight him? Give me a break. Considering the area there is a good chance this Sheriff knows the shooter personally. Good thing the DA doesn't.

Given what we currently know I can't see how this shooter is not guilty of murder.

Maybe the facts will change and if they do then fine but I don't see a lot of ambiguity here or anything that would possibly justify the use of deadly force (or even less than deadly force for that matter).

He is in jail cause generally thats what happens when you shoot someone. You get to tell your story to a judge an jury.

Everyone involved seems to agree at this point that the man that was shot started the final altercation. The only debate left is about weather how the old man finished it was reasonable. You are free to disagree though.

Just watched his lawyer say his client was assaulted by the other man with an "object". The object in question was the bag of popcorn. You've got to be f'ing kidding me. This is the type of guy who the antis prop up as being emboldened by his carry weapon to start something and end it violently.

Well, maybe I'm the only one on TGO who, given a consequence free environment, would like to see the world helped out a bit by putting a skim net and some chlorine to the ole gene pool. God knows we need it. Lol!

There may be others but they might consider it not prudent to post it in a public forum.

Lord knows I'm no fan of LEOs, but I see a young, arrogant man, corrected by an elder. I expect he didn't want to swallow his pride and admit the old man was right, but instead, decided to show what a man he was to his wife by "going back there and kicking that old man's ***." Well, it didn't turn out like he expected.

This all could have been prevented by a bit of thoughtfulness for one's fellow mankind. If you need to play with your phone, go out in the lobby!

Anyway, he was texting his 3 year old daughter?!!?? My kids are well above average, but were not reading well and texting at 3.
