Anyone with knowledge or experience dealing with either of these weapons?  Deliberating on whether to spend a couple hundred more benjamins for the OBR barrel.  I've read just about every piece of literature on the internet and I havent gotten any real life input.  I am positive either will be a great choice, but i've never held either as I now reside in East Nowheresville, Wisconsin.  Heartbreaking, I know.....

I've never gotten the chance to fire either of them but I've handled several larues, just not a costa. All of the larues I've handled had 3/4 moa test targets in them. The balance of the predatar is superb but I suspect bc of the lightweight barrel after a few rounds the groups will start to open up. The OBR is a little bit heavy but I would imagine it maintains smaller groups for longer. I guess the answer to your question is intended purpose.

Intended purpose is to take to the range for the most part.  I am going to stay in the 5.56, I know the 7.62 could open up several more options in the hunting arena but I have plenty of other options to use in that caliber.  I would like this to be my last AR for quite some time (How many of us have said that???) so I want to make the best purchase with the information available.  You are correct though Oriental, the info out there is stating if your only focus involves looking for a lightweight option the PredatAR is the go to.  If you want to keep the MOA tight and use it for some longer distance shooting to step up to the OBR.  Im just hoping someone in Tennessee has some Larue knowledge to bestow me with.....
