You could be right, Lester, but I'd vote for him.

I might vote for him as well, but there is a reason that Eisenhower became president, wheras McArthur, Patton, and Curtis LeMay were never president.

If your looking for non liars in politics Robert you are looking for a unicorn. Can you name one real politician that has not lied about something at one time or another either in their candidacy or after getting elected please share that person with us...........Politicians are all (no offense meant) are used car salesmen and saleswomen. And all of their cars are one owners that a little old school teacher drove..................jmho

I'm not looking for a unicorn...I'm not looking for perfection because no one can or will be perfect but I refuse to believe that there are no honest men/women in the world...people of strong character with a strong moral compass  who are/could run for public office.  If there truly aren't any more with those qualifications then all the political and philosophical things we passionately argue and converse about here...all the campaign contributions...all the hours spend working for and supporting a candidate are a complete and utter wast of time. If your assertion is correct then the only logical thing for any of us to do is to disengage and shore up our own lives for the pain that is coming.

I'm not looking for perfection but I will not punch the voting button for candidates that don't meet certain of my expectations...there aren't many issues that are so important to me that I won't vote for someone (even if they are great on everything else) but there are a couple of those issues and I will NOT vote for such candidates who take the wrong position on one or any of those few issues.

Robert. All I'm saying is that at the end of the day, I will make my choice for the best candidate. If it is Rubio, okay. If it is

West or someone else, okay. I know who I want, but that's a snowball's chance in Hell, so what's the point?

In 2012 it would have been okay with me too...but no longer.

Slightly better than the liberal/socialist candidate on the other half of the ticket is no longer good enough for me especially if they are dead wrong on those couple of issues on which I will not compromise.

Is there any reason to rule out Bobby Jindal yet? I haven't heard of any major controversy's about him but I don't know how he voted on everything while in the house. The election is still a long way off, hardly no one heard or knew anything about Bill Clinton until the primary debates started.
As far as the Christie scandals go, I really hope they are enough and used to keep that rino from taking the nomination, I would be very embarrassed if I vomited all over the voting machine if he and Billary were the only two choices.

Good question...personally I haven't heard his name mentioned very often but that could change.

What I know of him I like but I really don't know all that much about him...that said, I think he is at least worth taking a look at (assuming he is even interested).

What I know of him Jindal sounds fine. The only negative I can think of-- He has the personality more befitting a libertarian candidate (most of whom have no personality at all). OTOH it beats me that anyone sees anything at all pleasant in hillary's personality.

Same goes for the "Praise God" reference, they will all use it to their advantage. How many times has the King used it and we know damn sure he doesn't mean it.

Huck and Santorum both are too outspoken about their faith, many voters may agree with it but don't want to hear them professing their faith too often and especially don't want them imposing it during their Presidency. I think GWB had a happy medium, just enough to flame the hair of the MSM.

I was watching Mike Pence of Indiana but he recently came out declining a run at it.

Still too early, we never know who will be coming out of the wood work to overwhelm us.

What about Gary Johnson? Mitch Daniels? , both may be up for another run along with several others not even considered.  :snore:

EDIT;

Here, chew on this. All kinds of potential candidates to bash and criticize.  :P
