It's a Colt. If you don't like it, someone else will most certainly want it.

I've owned my New Agent for about a year. Before getting it I had owned a Springfield GI 5", Springfield micro GI, RIA compact, Colt mark IV series 80, and an ATI FX45. By far the best self defense1911 I've owned has been the Colt New Agent. Compact, easy to carry and it eats any brand of ammo flawlessly. I've shot jacketed ball, hollow point, several types of Personal Defense rounds, steel cased and aluminum cased ammo and it never jammed. Its a great gun and you shouldnt have a problem trading or selling it if you choose.

I've carried one ever since we came back to the states in late 2009.  It's a favorite & I rotate it with a G36 and an LC9.  It doesn't jam, always works, is easy to conceal and works well for it's designed purpose.  It's for self defense, it's not a long range target gun.

I think they are great for their intended purpose. I smile when I hear people say "I didn't like it because it has no sights" like its a target pistol. They are desinged for close up, combat situations where sighting is the last thing that should be on your mind! You will not have any issues trading it if you don't like it.

I had a chance to buy one when they first were introduced. LGS had them for about $600. Sure wished I would bought that.
It's about the only 1911 that has ever been of interest to me.

Let me know if you don't like it.

Id say "...use with confidence"... Looks ta me like a "new agent' is a short 1911... As full of death as a drugstore; and as reliable as a 1911 gets in the right hands of course...

Enjoy...

Been looking at them too. Is it pocketable (slacks or dress pants, not cargo pants) at all or is it too big size wise?
