I know people have said terrible things about shipping and wait times, etc. I ordered a PSA upper and parts kit for my TGO lower on 12/29. Surprisingly they shipped my order on Tuesday and I received it today. Strange thing is both my parts kit and upper show shipped and they provided one tracking number. I opened the box and the upper isn't in there. Anyone have any experience with them on something like this? I tried to call but of course unusual hold times.....

If it's a UPS tracking number it should indicate on the website info if multiple boxes are on the same shipment.

It says 1 of 1. I thought that might be the problem at first too.

They also marked through the upper on the packing slip I guess as if to say it's not included. I would think if it allowed me to order and it shows shipped then they should have it available to send. it wasn't backordered at the time.

I ordered an upper and other parts last month and the same thing happened to me. They ship the parts and the upper is assembled by order. So the upper ships around a week later from the parts. That is why so you shouldn't wait much longer.

My order from 12/2 just arrived on 1/6. I think they are just running way behind due to the volume of orders. Probably the lower will arrive later on.

Never heard of an upper shipping in less than 10 days from PSA.

 

Almost certainly it'll come later.

 

PSA's shipping notifications and integration with the website account section are the weakest part of the whole enterprise. Hell, I once got email shipping notifications off and on for two months on an order I had in hand long before.

 

I'd say the marked through upper on packing slip is the most reliable indicator that they know it wasn't shipped.

I've had the same experiance with them too on a complete upper that I ordered while it showed that it was in stock it took weeks before it was shipped... All other parts orders came quickly; they were even quick to correct a mistake on their part too. I only bothered to contact them via email when needed.

This is very common practice for PSA. They'll get the upper to you eventually, but they often ship other stuff in the order ahead of time. They have issues, but they'll get out the door eventually.

I ordered an upper 12/13 and I received it 1/3 :-/

Kinda slow in my book but I am happy with the product

Completed uppers and PSA built rifles? If so, you must drive over there.

I ordered both at the same time and they shipped separately. I played it calm, and a couple days later I got my upper.

 

It gave me time to build the lower.

The only weird thing to me is that on their website it shows the upper shipped but some have said they're website/updating is terrible. Guess we'll see. My lower is ready to go. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

They obviously have some sort of internal system that doesn't really integrate with their website.

I've made 20 orders from them and not 1 was more than 2 weeks. I can't complain.
