Hey everyone! My names is Caleb, and I live in Murfreesboro. I had a few questions for everyone out there. I'm really considering what my next firearm purchase should be. I got a little bit of everything in my collection. I wanted a 1911, but just can't see myself throwing down $1200 on one. Especially when that price range covers so much more than just a 1911. Any help out there?

First off, welcome to the site. You'll get a lot of info on what you might want to buy, just by reading reviews of newly acquired weapons in the Show and Tell area. Also, if it were me, I'd go put my hands on a bunch of them, look at the different features you may want or not want, and buy two pistols for the price of one 1911. Then decide later if you want the 1911 and get it too. Because we all know, one is never enough.

Oh and there is a big gun show in the Boro January 18th and 19th. Be a great opportunity to check a lot of different pistols out at one time in one place.

Thanks guys! I'm a big fan of Sig Sauer. Only problem is everything I want is out of reach. When I say out of reach, I mean wife doesn't like when I throw down $1200. I got your basics like AR, AK, bolt action, 10/22, hunting shotgun, and several handguns.

I have a Rock Island 1911. Probably the straightest shooting gun I own. Definitely more accurate than my xd9 or xds.

Welcome cousin, look into Para or Remington as mentioned above. Both have specials on them right now. Para's have a $100 rebate right now and Remington's have a $75 rebate OR a free Storm Lake match barrel of either threaded, comped, or normal. Look up the prices of those and you'll know that's a steal.

I have a metro arms stainless 1911 (I think they come from the same place as Rock Island, Phillipines). It didn't even cost half of $1200 and I've been real happy with it. Also have a Taurus 1911 9mm that didn't even cost half of $1200, works great.
