I think I need to do some research because, April 28, 2003, 82nd ABN, 2nd Bde, 1/325 AIR was involved in a shooting, which caused them to get replaced and then rest is history.

But let me sure I get this right:

March 20th 2003, ground invasion

April 23, 2003 first troops in Fallujah

April 28, 2003 1/325 AIR involved in shooting causing them to get pull for having a heavy hand..

So can someone please tell me when B 2/502nd was in fallujah?     Because I can't find anywhere were it's stated..

From the 2/3 ACR wiki page-

"A brigade of the 82nd Airborne was deployed to relieve 3d Cavalry in place in Ramadi and Fallujah. This left the 3d Cavalry to handle the troubled towns leading to Iraq’s Syrian border, as well as the more peaceful towns along Iraq's borders with Jordan and Saudi Arabia. In March 2004, the Marines took control of the entire Al Anbar province, and the 3d ACR as well as the 82nd Airborne Division rotated home."

From the 3rd ID wiki page-

"Second Brigade, Third Infantry division made the much-publicized "Thunder Run" into downtown Baghdad. The Second Brigade was redeployed to Fallujah, Iraq during the summer of 2003. The division returned to the United States in September 2003."

-

"Prior to the Iraq War, Camp Baharia once operated as a Baath Party resort, where it was used as an opulent fortress where Qusay Hussein and Uday Hussein would stay.
Dreamland was first occupied by a small element of the 82nd Airborne in April of 2003 but was quickly turned over to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment before the end of the month. Dreamland was then taken over by 2nd Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division but returned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment when the 3rd Infantry Division returned home. As 2003 came to a close, Dreamland was taken over and operated by the 82nd Airborne Division until March 2004. 2nd Battalion 1st Marines took over operations prior to Operation Vigilant Resolve and renamed the base Camp Baharia. 3rd Battalion 5th Marines took over the forward operating base in September 2004."

As I said, we were sent to reinforce 2/3 ACR. Then third ID came in. Then it seems 82nd. Then the Marines. I was amused that you said you all were removed for having a heavy hand. The 2/3 ID guys would drive a brad into a wall to make an entrance for us. Edited by Daniel

Daniel, 82nd was deployed several times throughout 2003-2004, but during the initial push, 82nd 2nd Bde controlled that AO. Yes, after the shooting on April 28th, 2003, they were removed from that AO. Fallujah up to that point was calm, the incursions into the city and occupation of the School, were the start of the hostilities..  Look up Fallujah April 2003. 2/3 ACR came after 1/325 was removed from that AO after the 4/28/2003 shootings on the 4/30..

I'm just following up on your statement, just needed to get the timeline. I'm a not only a veteran, but like to study up on War history, especially on units I served in 5/87th (Panama), 82nd ABN DIV, 325 AIR (only Airborne Infantry Regiment in the world), 101st (Great History), you know the saying, those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it, so I study it.

Not picking on you or your service, god knows, I would have give a left nut to be on the line with my brothers from other mothers, just making sure I didn't miss anything..

I didn't take it as you picking on my service. It just came across as suggesting I was being less than honest or telling tall tales. I cant help that we arent listed. The CA NG transportation unit isnt listed on those either but they were with us as our only means of getting around until they were pulled after taking 2 casualties.
