Steel Panther's image is intentionally like that... they play the classic '80's hair metal stuff and make fun of the image at the same time.  It's clear they don't take themselves too seriously.

It's ok, I've only been playing about 4 years longer than he's been alive and have maybe half the skillz. But that's fine, I mean its not like I'm jealous or anything...

It's always been a peeve of mine when parents are a bit "too cool". Rock concerts are for smoking, drinking, swearing and moshing, not daycare.
