Question for the computer gurus

I have two laptops. I want to copy my Firefox bookmarks from one laptop, and put them into Firefox on the other laptop. I can't find anything about exporting bookmarks out of Firefox.

Any help would be appreciated. I am running Firefox v3.0.1 on both computers.

an add-in called Foxmarks will allow you to keep bookmarks synchronized across multiple computers.

I just did that on my new computer. It works perfectly.

FYI, I also have a Scandisk Cruzer (4 gig) that you can sync with your main computer, then plug into laptop or someone else's computer and work on your files.

Pretty nice to have for backup.

Thanks everybody. I used the export/import method, and all is well in the universe. :dirty: I wasn't looking in the correct tab in Firefox. Sometimes, my computer skills are a little :D:). I might look into using the Foxmarks add-on in the future.

Just to let you know, and knowing the issue is resolved, there is a portable version of firefox that runs FROM a stick, you can also get openoffice, miranda, pidgin, thunderbird, and more.

I have an 8 gb stick that I use for work because lots of times I use other folks Pcs in my job. When you shut down and pull the stick, you take all your cache, booksmarks, etc (i.e. fingerprints) with you.

Don't know if that's useful or not...

Edit: BTW, you don't need a stick nearly that big. I keep a LOT of files on my stick. I've had OO, Thunderbird and firefox on a 1 gb stick and had room to spare...

a big thumbs-up for Foxmarks. I run firefox on a laptop, home PC and work PC and they all have the same bookmarks. When I update a bookmark on one it will show up on the others.

I love it

Ah, what the hell! I went ahead and installed Foxmarks. Resistance is futile! :P

Ghostrider: Thanks for the tip about the portable apps. I didn't know about those either. (As I said, my computer skills are a little ) I assume you can sync the portable Firefox using Foxmarks?
