New Long Gun

Picked up a Remington 700 AAC-SD .308 before Christmas. Did a lot of searching and finally came up with what I wanted to do with it.

All of the stuff I ordered came yesterday, so I went ahead and installed it. Just need to get it out to the range and get it dialed in.

Harris 6"-9" Bipod

Nightforce Remington 700 Mount with build in rings

Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP scope

Initial impressions:

Feels nice and stable, crisp trigger, free floating barrel isn't so free floating when resting on the bipod.

Probably get a cheek rest for it and hopefully a suppressor by the end of the year.

Beautiful.  Gonna put a can on it?

Thanks guys, I can't wait to put some rounds down range with it. I'm more worried about my abilities than the guns, haha.

Eventually, that's why I chose this model since it had the threaded barrel. Probably get an AAC Cyclone since they're priced somewhat reasonable and I know the threads will not give me any issues (Remington and AAC teamed up on this particular model 700). Not looking forward through going through tax stamp dance though.
