Its about time! FNH has been making military M4s for a while, bout time they sold em to us lowly civilians

Big question I have is, "are they going to continue using the same barrels they have been such as the PSA's that come with machine gun barrel quality steel or they going to go with a cost saving alternative?"

looks like a run of the mill AR  to me... nothing special about it but a different name on the side...which i'm sure you'll pay for

You do know that FNH is who produces the M16A2, M4/M4A1's, M249, and M240B right? At which this will come with the VERY same barrels used on the genuine article, which are a proven steel quality and while the M4 may not have the best reputation in the desert, we're also not exactly near any moon-dust are we? I would assume that they are going to price it on par with a Colt which would be the $1000-1200 range.

I probably will never buy an AR as I went the SCAR route but if I was going to buy one FNH is a company I would most certainly look at!

They can sell these parts to others tho. I bought a FNH barrel for one of my builds. There is a long thread on M4C.net about these rifles. One of the last posts is from someone at SHOT show. The reps at the FNH booth told him the barrels are button rifled. It's also been reported that FNH has been sourcing parts from other manufacturers to build these rifles as per the TDP agreement with Colt.

IMHO- FNH is building a rifle to compete with S&W and not Daniel Defense (for example). That's evident from the price point ($899) that is being proposed to dealers. I guess we will know for sure what we get for the money once these rifles hit dealers.

i would put it beside a colt in quality... not like colt doesn't test each barrel before it goes in a rifle... just saying it's nothing amazing ...should watch gun gripes on youtube... " a name is a name is a name " forget what episode it is

Can't go wrong with fnh they make a top quality product , I would love to add a fn 15 to the safe
