Creek, my son is type 1 also. He was diagnosed in 2006 so I can identify totally with your situation. You are doing the same things we are as far as educating ourselves and storing up supplies. We have a cabinet for supplies that looks about like yours. My son is 20 now so he manages the day to day issues of his diabetes well but we still are concerned about what would happen in shtf situation.

 

I hope and pray everyday that these scenarios we are preparing for never happen. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I think the overall best thing we can do (besides try keep some supllies on hand) is to keep a good network with other Type I parents.
