Basic easy food storage

Hey folks, I did some research and came up with this. The human body needs 4 basic nutrients to keep functioning adequately:

Proteins

Carbohydrates

Fats/Oils

Water

Everyone's requirements vary slightly depending on build and activity level but the two basic, easy to store foods that meet these requirements are rolled oats (oatmeal) and peanut butter (PLEASE make sure you aren't allergic). This combined with adequate water intake and a daily multivitamin will keep you going for quite a while. The combination of 8 servings (4 cups) of oatmeal a day (yes you can eat it dry) and 3 serving (6 tablespoons) of peanut butter will give you the approximate following nutrients:

Calories: 1800

Carbohydrate: 250 grams

Protien: 64 grams

Fats and Oils approximately 100% of the daily recommended allowance

This should be sufficient to generally keep you going unless you are doing some really hard physical stuff. So how do you calculate how long you need this stuff? Well, a 5 gallon bucket holds about 80 cups of anything. Therefore a 5 gallon bucket would hold 20 days worth of oatmeal and weighs around 15 lbs. You can buy a 50 lb bag at the Menonite store in Guthrie Ky for abt 25-30 dollars. That bag will fill about 3 buckets or 2 months worth of oatmeal. Peanut Butter-A 29 oz jar $3.50-$4, has abt 25 serving in it. at 3 servings a day, that's 8 days, soooo 2 jars or PB and one bucket of oatmeal and 5-7 gallons of water, and you are good for abt 2 weeks.
