M&P9c For CCW?

I was wondering if any of you carry the M&P9 Compact as a concealed carry? I am struggling with what to carry in an IWB holster. This gun seems a little thick and that has me concerned but I like the platform and the gun is very accurate. I just worry about printing. Any suggestions? I'm a pretty big guy 6'5 250 so I should be able to conceal a tank!

You're a little bigger than I am, but I have carried the M&P 40c (same size) without problems IWB. You should be fine provided you get a good holster and a good sturdy gun belt.

My brother is smaller than you and easily conceals a full size M&P. He's about 6'3" 220 or so.

I'm 5'10/180, and I easily conceal a Glock 19. The M&P compact is smaller, and you are quite a bit bigger, so concealing it shouldn't be an issue. You could probably conceal an AMT Hardballer Longslide if you tried hard enough.

Those are pretty slim guns...like Tungsten said... get a good quality holster and belt and you should be good to go.

Have the gun belt. Looking for a good holster. Anyone using a cross breed or MTAC?

Lots of people using the MTAC here and it's pretty highly recommended. Worth doing a search for threads on it.

I carry a fullsize M&P 9 in a MTAC. Very comfortable. The M&P is marginally thicker than my 1911.

Thanks for the info. I've tried carrying IWB but found it very uncomfortable but I am not using MTAC. Looks like its worth a shot. Maybe it won't end up in the drawer with the rest of my great ideas:screwy:

The reviews on the MTAC are very encouraging.

I carry the m&p9c with a mtac it is very comfy and I can tuck my shirt.

Im 210 and 5'10. When wearing a tight shirt I just put a little slack in my t shirt. I had a galco iwb for about 5mo and it worked good also.

The mtac has the leather that covers the scalop design on the slide.

The galco did not, so the design dug into my fat and took a while to get used to.

You don't look 5'10" and 180 in the pic...

And I'm 5'10" 165 and can conceal fullsize glocks and xds, so I know it's possible with an M&P. I don't know how much thinner they are, but they sure felt skinny in my hand at the store.

I carry the mp9c iwb with a Don Hume holster with no problems. I'm also interested in the mtac but haven't had the opportunity to try one yet.

I'm 5'8" and 175 lbs.

I daily carry a M&P9c. Sometime IWB other times OWB. I am 5'9 and 160 pounds. I only print a little when I am carrying IWB.
