Pearce grip extension for S&W Shield

I have one on the 7rd magazine. It's ok, it should have been made a little longer and straighter. With medium to large hands my fingers feel cramped, but not as bad as the keltec extension on a Pf-9 though.

Yes, I've got the Pierce extensions on a couple of mags and they are quite comfortable to me.

 

And the video guys' comment about the sleeve for the 8 round mags is right on target. The idea was good, but Smith certainly made a poor one in my opinion. Way too loose. They move around too much. I found the first time I made a mag change with one on it, that it was a problem. If it shifts at all, you can't easily insert and lock the mag.

 

That is simply not acceptable for me. Until something better comes along, I don't use the sleeve.

It feels just as good without the sleeve, they should have made the baseplate one solid piece including the sleeve. Similar to a Glock 30/36 baseplate but to the same Shield ergonomics.

Great review, mines ordered and on the way. Have heard plenty of great things about the Pearce floor plates.
