New sights

Looking for some good sights for my AR and my AK. As much as I love the sights on my AK, my right eye isnt the greatest. Are there any good inexpensice sights that you guys recommend? Would prefer a red dot but I do plan on getting an acog for the ar eventually.

Sorry, I sould have been a bit clearer. I am looking for good and inexpensice red dot or the like. I am near sighted on my right eye and I shoot right handed. Saving movey for the surgery, but wanting something to help for the time being. I have a red dot that a friend gave me, but its rather crappy.

I am trying to stay under $250 to $300. The cheaper the better tho.

I've got an Aimpoint on one of my AR but that's higher than your price range.   One option that I've heard good things about is the Vortex Strikefire and it's well below your limit.   Several folks on TGO have them and have said they are a great value.  

 

Here's an example.   Says it also comes with a 2x doubler.   The AR version also comes with a mount.

Vortex probably makes one of the better ones for the money. Tested on 1000 rounds of .375 H&H Mag? Yeah, that's good stuff. At least that's what they claim but everyone swears by em.
