Great place. I visited today and it is probably the best stocked gun shop I've seen since Hyatt's in Charlotte, NC. But they don't have Hyatt's prices! They have racks and racks and racks of pistols - just hanging there. That is in addition to all the pistols in the cases. It's disgusting! :D Of course the pistols don't do us any good, but the rifles (especially Bushmaster) had fantastic prices on them. The only down side is that they will only sell complete rifles because of "liability concerns."

Gander Mountain is right down the street too, but I just window shop there. Though they did have a new 870 Express with an 18-inch barrel, rifle sights and the most beautiful wood furniture I've seen since the 1970s. For $349, I almost bought it.

Here's Larry's website:

I think they have an agreement with a pawn shop in Fayeteville, see something you like, they do once or twice a week transfers to that pawn shop for Tennessee residents.

That's good to know. I was wondering about that since I just read on TGO about another similar TN/AL dealer setup.

larry's is a nice place and I try and stop in when I'm in huntsville (couple times a month visiting family). I bought my first ever pistol there and remember going in as a kid with uncles to buy hunting rifles. My biggest problem with them is that they are normally waaaaay too crowded to move, let a lone see anything, especially before hunting season. They also have a nice selection of used mags if you shoot something any of the police forces down there shoot.

If you haven't already, check out their range. Nice and ventilated, all the cables and lights work, and there's about 15 lanes so normally not much waiting.

I thought that was just because I was there on a Saturday! Yep, they were slam-full for sure.
