Hello Y'all,

 

I've been looking to move to Tennessee. I grew up in Buffalo and have lived in SE Michigan for almost 30 yrs. We've been tired of the long winters for quite awhile now. We're looking to live amongst like minded people, in a more rural setting. Currently a member of: MGO, NRA, IDPA, Heritage Foundation, Hillsdale College supporter. Constitutional Conservative. Occupation: CAD/CAM DESIGNER, CNC PROGRAMMER, MFG PROCESS ENG with 30 yrs experience in the Tool & Die, Injection Mold Making and Prototype Machining trades. Looking for the right job in Middle to Eastern Tennessee. Reliable, knowledgeable, dependable stand-up guy. Any information or leads welcomed. Thanks!

Come on down, we're all Tennesseans here, even the immigrants.  I was a charter member of MGO.  There's a Honda facility in Lenoir City, and a Volkswagen assembly plant in Chattanooga, so your skills will fit right in.  I'm a Ford escapee, so all of the industry I notice is automotive.

I know lots of ex-michiganders who are now Tennesseans. Then again in Detroit's heyday a lot of Tennesseans became Michiganders. So it all works out.

Tennsco is out here in Dickson. I don't know what they need in terms of workers but they're pretty big here. There's some kind of aluminum plant too I think and I think Bridgestone moved in a while back.

There's also something called project falcon moving in. Nobody appears to be telling what that's about which is kinda concerning but it's supposed to be pretty big. Edited January 1, 2014 by tnguy
