mission failed!

Scientists are trapped on their boat in ice because of a blizzard in Antarctica, while on a mission to study the effects of global warming...multiple attempts to get them out with other ice breaker ships has failed.

It doesn't get any funnier than that

Believe it or not they had a very nice news story on CBS news at 5:30 and they were very forth  coming with the real reason for the trip and admitted it was to seek information on the Global Warming and Ice melting. I guess by now they have plenty of information to research and if they can't move because of that MELTING ICE they should have plenty of time to talk about it cause they are not going anywhere anytime soon. I think I read somewhere that the U.S. Military has agreed to send some of our Naval Ice Breakers down to rescue them as our Ice Breakers are better equip to do the job than the private ones are that tried. I say leave them there and if need be fly in supplies and drop them near the stuck boat and that is all the help I would send.................jmho

It is the middle of summer in antarctica. They might be in a world of trouble when it gets cold.

Yep, saw this on the morning news and it caused my dog to look at me with that funny head turned to the side look because I was laughing and was the only one in the house. Keep them supplied enough to get by but nothing more and if the "melting ice" doesn't save them before the truly dangerous winter starts, then go pluck them off the boat.. I say pluck them off the boat because I don't think tax money should be sent out to rescue the vessel that the fools took to run their errands. There needs to be some loss in this deal for them or they'll just turn around and do it again.

Why didn't they just get them out with a 'choppa the 1st time?

it was probably owned by a conservative company and the pilot was yelling over a loudspeaker "How's the global warming working out for ya fellas?"

According to news I heard earlier, we (US) sent an icebreaker and the icebreaker is now stuck. Apparently the Russians have offered an Icebreaker to help our icebreaker get unstuck to help the Global Warming committee get unstuck from the ice..that isnt there...cause it all melted.

quick, get the carbon fluoride gas plants powered up.  We need to melt them out.

Come on, we only need a few degrees to make the ice melt according to all their papers.

One article I read said something like: Funny how these Global Warmists who set out to prove how bad fossil fuels are, went off on a fossil fueled expedition and now have to be rescued by a fossil fueled mission consisting of multiple ships and helicopters.

Major fail.

It was on the news for the past year that the Antarctic Ice pack was getting bigger and it is the Northern  Ice pack that is suppose to be melting so with that knowledge I just wonder why they went south instead of north. The story about following some guys expedition 100 years ago does not hold water with me.....................However it does hold a little Ice with me..............
