Metal Detecting Question, Found Wedding Ring

This past week, I took one of my sons metal detecting in area that is normally a designated swimming area on the lake, but because the lake is down, this area is now dry.  Well what you know, my son found what I thought was a piece of metal off of a boat, but turns out to be a wedding ring, one of those black titanium wedding rings very similar to the picture below.

Suggestions, how do I go about returning this ring to the rightful owner?

Unless it has a name, unique engraving, or serial number odds are low.

However from time to time you hear stories of rings that are found and returned to their owner many years later.

However, it would probably be hard to even find what brand it is.

Thr odds are low. Great find though. I am an avid metal detectorist but haven't been in a while. I plan to get into more underwater detecting when it warms back up. I just got a waterproof unit and am itching to push the limits. Almost pit it in yhr tub the other night ; )

I have a very similar wedding ring (titanium and carbon fiber) and they are very inexpensive so I highly doubt there is any serial number or anything. I believe we payed $85 for mine Shane Co.

Also, it can't be that old so most likely not too missed.

Looks like it could be tungsten carbide. Also fairly inexpensive as far as rings go, about $400. If it looks like new with no scratches it's probably tungsten as it's very hard.
