Franklin gun show next weekend?

Well, I was hoping that someone would post up that it was better this time. I really loved that show once upon a time. Sad to hear they've ruined it. Like a couple of people said in this thread, I've wasted $10 on worse things, so if I was bored I would go just to waste time and on the off chance that something was there I needed.

The Murfreesboro show is this coming weekend correct? I definitely will be there.

Okay, thanks. I couldn't remember, I just knew it was pretty close after the Franklin. Hopefully I'll have a lil change in my pocket by then lol.

Murfreesboro show is usually good. I quick going to Nashville show when they started  parking fee in early 2013.

Yep, the only two in the mid TN area that I plan on attending in the future is the Murfreesboro and Hendersonville shows.  Parking fees are ridiculous at the Nashville show and low vendor attendance at the Franklin, Lebanon, and Dickson shows prevent me from going back any more.

Yes, I agree with most that the Williamson Ag show has declined, however at this last one, I saw more pre-64 1894 Winchesters than I saw last year at all the shows, at a reasonable price.  Ditto for Marlin collectors.  One vendor had several 336s including a pristine 336a for under $400.

There were the usual idiots there attempting to sell run of the mill factory new guns for MSRP and vendors trying to sell IMR powder for $30 per pound, and the usual pork rinds, toasted nuts and fake indian stuff.

As someone above  astutely remarked, "it only takes one deal to make it a good show.

Since moving to TN from VA ten years ago, I am disappointed at ALL of the shows in TN.  After a decade of attending shows at Richmond Showplace and Dulles, TN shows are indeed disappointing in terms of number of vendors and attendees, and smoking good deals in the aisles and parking lotsl
