Didn't even know there was on

Just looked it up, Chilhowee Park .

I don't believe I will be going.  I have to pay for Christmas now.

However if you don't mind, get some prices and availability on .22 lr and mag ammo.

Just wondering what the going rate is now.

Nothing special or interesting too me. There was plenty of 22lr ranging from $20-$25 per 100 averaging $60/525 brick. and Remington Bucket O' Bullets for $225. I imagine they will be keeping them. I brought nothing home this trip

One fillintheblank has plenty of .22:

Federal 550 box - $75

Federal 525 box - $70

Federal Automatch 325 - $45

Winchester 333 - $50

Remington Viper 100 box - $20

Remington GB 1400 tub - I kid you not the sticker had three digits that started with 2.

That's all I recall.

^^ That was $225 like I said earlier. I literally laughed in the dudes face.

That's it.  Couldn't remember the exact price as I'm still in shock.

Maybe we need to start a rumor that all ammo made before 2014 is required by law to go bad in 30 days. That way maybe people will quit buying it at outrageous prices.

I like it.

You know that there are many people who would fall for that.

WBIR (local TV station) had a camera rolling pointed right at David's booth today.  Maybe he'll be on the news.

The guy for WBIR tried to get me to go on camera. They were trying to find someone to tell them how hard it is to find ammo. He asked me about buying ammo,I don't need any 22 so I have not had an issue finding ammo, after hearing that he said thank you and walked away. He asked several others around me and he never turned the camera on so I guess he did not get many takers to be on camera.

The show was full of the same cast of characters that are there every time selling WAY overpriced ammo and stuff they got on sale on black friday for 5 times what they paid. I saw a guy with several LPK's for $145 that I got for $30 online. I know it was purchased online because it was an upgraded kit only available on black friday. I was reminded why I dont go unless I need stuff from David.

You should have told him you were undercover and cannot comment.

Or, lead him over to the table at the far left end and explain that what costs honest folk about $20 at WalMart is being scarfed up by greedy sumbitches and sold at about a 300% markup.

These prices are actually cheaper than what I just saw on gunbot.

Yep. I've never found any deals on there. I just noticed that the gun shows, though having jacked up prices, still ain't as high as some online highjackers.

I'd have hammed that up!  Turned my hat backwards and do alot of That's a fact, Jack!

I wish I had known about it though I wanted to look at prices/availability for the Clays powder I use.

Clays is almost impossible to find Spiffy. Glad i bought 8lbs last time i saw it. I was looking for that and Solo 1000, not a lb of either in the building.

The good news is there's no ammo shortage where I live becuase people simply can't afford to buy it all up anymore. There's plenty of .22lr, 9mm, .45 or whatever else you want. The bad news is, I live way out in BFE & Knoxville's a fairly long drive. What's going on at the gun shows nowadays gun wise? I'm not driving 150+ miles round trip just for an ammo show. I used to enjoy looking for deals or trades on pistols & rifles & accessories like parts & ammo cans etc..., but I haven't been to a show in almost a year. Does anyone buy/sell/trade on guns at gun shows anymore? I'm hoping things will sttle back to normal (or at least semi normal) so this can be a fun hobby again.

Sure, same thing as always with folks walking around with guns for sale/trade. It's always been thus that private sales are always the best way, just that gun shows brings all the folks together in one place.
