It really was. I thought I was going to get frustrated, but I actually enjoyed the heck out of it. It probably loses its magic with time, but you're right...it is exciting.

Thanks! Man, I have to tell you, I have very little technical/machanical ability. Almost none. And I enjoyed the heck out of this. The DPMS kit that I bought was missing one part, and the one of the springs was impossible to get in and Dan and another fellow I'd not previously met helped me with it. Had it not been for those two minor snafus, I would have had it together in probably 30 minutes on my first try.
