FSU hasn't played  more than 2 decent teams all year. They don't stand a chance.Auburn also has the momentum behind them.

Really ?

Good game, both sides made some mistakes and missed out on some big opportunities. Auburn had the game won at halftime but FSU pulled together and made the 2nd half a game. I really didn't expect them to pull it off, but congrats to FSU!
Auburn had some miracles this year but couldn't get it this time. Now I'm looking forward to next year and the new playoff system.

Fear the Spear.  The Noles beat the best the SEC had to offer so all of the butt hurt SEC fans can stop talking about strength of schedule now.  Head to head, ACC won, SEC lost, bottom line.  It was the most exciting championship game in a long time.

Dang I know I said that I wanted a close game but I figured out that what I really wanted was a close game with FSU ahead and Auburn trying but not succeeding to claw back!

Congrats to Auburn for showing up strong and I was afraid FSU had forgotten how to play football some time in the last 30 days. I'm happy the Noles finally showed up and started playing like they have the rest of the season. I spent some time looking over all the bowl game scores Sunday night and they really don't show much of a strength of schedule difference. Yes they won 7 out of 10 bowl games but they weren't convincing wins like one would expect if there were such a GREAT difference in strength of schedule. I'm an FSU fan first and a Georgia fan second so i'm not hating the SEC but I come away from this season feeling like there's not such a great difference. Again, congrats to Auburn for showing up and doing their part in making it a tight game all the way to the end!

the BCS has about ruined college football.  It was much better the old way when the top two teams hardly ever played each other.  Bowl games were over and done with on New Years Day and the bowl games actually meant something.

They would play the games and on January 2 the final polls would come out and a champion would be crowned.  Of course half of the fans would disagree, half would thump their chests and everyone could argue over who was actually Number 1.

Foxsports has Florida State a 10.5 point favorite, and an over/under of 68.

Give me Auburn and the over!

...and there's why I'm not a big gambler!

There were some really good bowl games to watch this year, and the one last night was among them.

That's the kind of gambling luck I would have so I steer way wide of it

Well, it's gone now, eh? Could come back, like is the playoff thing next year just a test?

Power went out for me and about 2,000 folks around here at 7:50, didn't come back on till midnight, and then off and on apparently all night. Though I would have probably had game on in background, no big loss for me, but I imagine there were plenty of livid folks around my area last night, missing game worse than freezing to death and all.

ESPN said the 4 teams selected for the playoff will be done by a committee. I see room for people to gripe about that too.....

a playoff is no better than what has gone on with the BCS.  Aside from the three games that will make up the playoffs all other bowl games will be meaningless.

I much preferred it before the BCS, games all meant a little something, even when the two top rated teams did not play.

For example,  this year Michigan State played in the Rose Bowl.  In years past the SEC champ would have played in the Sugar Bowl, the ACC champ would have played in the Orange Bowl.  So if the ACC and SEC champs lost MSU would have had a chance to leapfrog into a title.

Maybe I am too old school.

If they want a playoff system I think it should somehow be based on the champs from each conference in an elimination.  Not sure how that would work exactly.

Maybe we could start with the SEC champion playing the best team from all other conferences combined.  That will decide the National Champ.

Furthermore the game will be held no later than January 2nd, all other bowl games either need to be done with or just dropped altogether before that date..
