The A&E Network announced Friday it would resume filming “Duck Dynasty” with Phil Robertson and the rest of his family next spring.

Robertson had been indefinitely suspended by the network for comments he made about homosexuality in an interview with GQ Magazine.

In a statement released late Friday afternoon, A&E said, “While Phil's comments made in the interview reflect his personal views based on his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have publicly stated they regret the "coarse language" he used and the misinterpretation of his core beliefs based only on the article.  He also made it clear he would "never incite or encourage hate." 

The network added that “Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man's views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family, a family that America has come to love. As you might have seen in many episodes, they come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness.  These are three values that we at A&E Networks also feel strongly about.

“So after discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family.”

Great.  I knew they wouldn't want to lose the show.  He might leave but it will be on his terms I believe.

It's a BS statement... how they specifically mention they consulted with advocacy groups and then decided.

 

Screw them, they're too wimpy to stand up to a couple of people with 12 million people standing right behind them.  I hope DD goes to another channel as soon as the contract is up.

As long as he got reinstated it is a victory and a defeat for GLAAD and the LBGT agenda.

Lets face facts folks. The only reason they brought Phil back is because the rest of the Robertson's told A&E that is Phil does not come back neither do they. Blood is thicker than water or money, especially when you already have plenty of water and money. A&E didn't have much choice. It was either bring Phil back or lose the whole show. I am glad to see a family stick together and hold to their beliefs.........jmho

As well they should! If they hadn't closed ranks around Dad it would have hurt them worse than it hurt A&E.
