gun safety checks on youtube videos

I have noticed that on a lot of videos on youtube involving a review of a gun , the person on the video always shows the camera the gun and says it is clear and safe or something of that nature. That is fine and dandy and a good thing to do but I wonder if it is a Youtube rule when posting videos about guns ? Anyone know ? The only person I ever saw on youtube that didnt do a safety check was James Yeager . He usually shows the camera that his gun is loaded and ready LOL  . Which to me is also fine and dandy since it is his place and camera and all. I just dont get why all those people are always so bent on proving that their gun is clear . So are there any rules about showing the gun to be clear or FCC/Internet  rules ? Just curious .

I think mainly because youtube being what it is, if they didn't do it the first 2,000 comments would be idiots pointing out how unsafe the person was. It's just a preemptive strike against some of the "trained professionals" out there.
