I'm building a entry level Beowulf for deer hunting and feral hog in middle Tennessee long shot were I'm hunting is 125 yards any of y'all who are familiar with this platform have any suggestions on a scope that will hold up to the recoil its comparable to a 45/70

Why would you use a 50 Beowulf for middle Tennessee deer under 125 yards?  A little overkill is it not?

My friend Rightwinger used a .458 SOCOM on deer. I suspect he did it 'cause he's lazy. From what I'm told, they didn't go anywhere once they were shot. Rightwinger's lengthy description... "Kills 'em dead". Besides, it's hard to beat a big bore for hogs.
