Im purchasing the EMP that Magic has had posted on the board. I want a good holster for this since I plan on making it my daily carry piece. Ive never carried IWB but im open to the idea. Give me your thoughts & reccommendations on which holster to get & from which company to purchase it from. Im open to all ideas but dont say someone like Milt Sparks. Only reason is I checked there site & there just now working on the orders they recieved in April. I cant wait that long at this moment.

If going (or pondering) IWB carry... you can't go wrong with their MTAC. Think VMII, but with only a one week wait.

I have been very happy with my Holsters By Eric IWB TL. Quick turnaround (got mine in about 1.5-2 weeks after he started cutting) and decent prices. Oh, and he made it for my PPS .

FWIW we have the Brommeland MAX-CON V holsters in stock. They are far and away the best choice for an IWB holster.

That would be my recommendation as well.

Oh yeah? What makes them better than Mitch Rosen, Milt Sparks, <insert another well received maker>... or the Comp-Tac, HBE, etc that have been listed here already?

List some factual reasons and comparisons, and not the usual biased statements that you keep tossing out. Genuinely interested in seeing this... as I'm also thinking about picking up a new holster.

You know how they say that opinions are like certain southerly orifices? Well, that goes double for holster opinions.

I like my Tucker Texas Heritage, but I must confess that I've never tried anything else. Never felt the need to, but who knows what I might be missing? I might have to give the MTAC a try some time; they seem to have a universally good rep.

+1

I've also heard good things about Tucker, and really liked the designs I've seen on his website as well as those posted by owners. What was the turn-around time with him, if you don't mind me asking?

He asked, so here's my assh..err..umm..opinion! I will go with either a CTAC or MTAC, I have the CTAC currently, on any future handgun purchase.

If you can stand a wait, K&D Leather is top notch and less in price than any of the above mentioned holsters. I've had holsters from K&D (Dakata Defender), Comp-Tac (Infidel, C-TAC), RafterS, and Hoffner's (Hybrid Warrior). The K&D is by far the best. I've visually compared it some other high end makers and still think it is one of the best. My holster drawer could have a lot more room if I had just stayed with K&D.

1. Crossbreed 2. MTAC 3. Whatever else. JMHO. I like the leather backed kydex hybrids. The all leather ones look nice to, but I don't want to pay that much for one.

K&D is less than all of those.

So this may be a dumb question but is this 1 of those holsters that makes the clicking noise when you put your weapon in them?

http://www.comp-tac.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=101

Same style as their MTAC, but in an OWB design... so it will be the same. You'll feel the gun secure itself in the holster, rather than hear an audible click. You might hear the gun brushing up against the kydex portion of the holster, but that's about it as far as it giving off any noticeable noise.

KD holsters are great. Bought my first one for XD45 when the wait was only 6 wks. Have one for 5" and 4.25" 1911's now; had to wait longer on them. Dakota Defender; great quality.

I think a sling might work better. :tinfoil:

If you want to try all leather IWB and have good turnaround time I recommend you call Eric at H.B.E.

His turn around time right now seems short..

If you want to try Kydex the M-Tac would be worth a shot.. Quick turnaround as well..

Now for me the C-Tac type holster hurts my side after a short while..

Don't forget a good belt!!!!

I got mine here took a week..

Some folks may tell you Kydex is no good. I think it is up to you to use what you like..

Sorry butt any excuse to post a pic is a good one..

I made this the other day. Kydex with shark loops,,,

Good luck...

That's actually a good looking holster. Maybe you could wrap the kydex in the front and eliminate the rivet to smooth out the design a little. Looks good.
