Any Milsurp Smiths In Nashville (PSL & Draco Crooked From Cugir)

Recommended Posts

Any Milsurp Gunsmith's in Middle, TN?  I may have asked this before with little luck of replies for the Nashville area.  Sam Hoster in Gallatin is a good guy and he tweaked some problems I had with an FAL but I think he's more about killer trigger jobs for hunters and building his premium 1911s.  Yes, I know about In-Range past Knoxville and Volunteer Ordnance Works outside of Chatanooga.

The handful of people that have excellent reputations referred to on the major Milsurp forums are always far far away and/or are backed up for 9+ months.  I can't believe we live in such a "free" state with so little support for the milsurp aficionados.  I can do a few small things on my own or wi friends but it would be nice if there were some real milsurp builder/Smiths in middle, TN.

My problems are these:

1) I have a couple sloppily built AK pattern rifles and I am interested in finding a brick and mortar outfit that can straighten them out.  The PSL is crooked at the rear site block and the Draco (SBR’d) is also crooked at the front sight.  With Texas Weapons Systems dog leg rail/cover the Kel Tec rear peep sight I installed is pushed all the way to the left to zero for windage - ridiculous!

I link to this site because without me trying to take pictures I can tell ya this fella has the exact same problem as me and demonstrates it accurately with HIS pictures . . .  http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167718&highlight=psl.  Barrels will probably have to be pulled and repinned and probably reblued in the end.

2)
I am also interested in installing FCGs on each of these rifles that can provide the best two-stage feel. I purchased K-VAR trigger groups based on positive reviews I read on some forums but also understand they can benefit from some light filling and polishing. These may or may not be best recommendations. I have a Red Star Arms on my M76 and am not nuts about it (too soft a second stage and I cannot adjust that thing myself). I am open to suggestions.
