A local pawn shop is selling these. They appear to be made in Dayton Ohio. Anyone own one?

Italian. Been around since the '50s. Dayton is US headquarters for distribution, service center, AFAIK none are made here?

Ahhh....figures, thanks OS..I was thinking it looked too good to be true.

I didn't mean to imply they are necessarily of poor quality. They make a pile of different type firearms, and the mighty Rhino, too.

I saw those. They do have a selection of shotguns with a few tacticals mixed in, lever rifles and western style revolvers. Even some muzzle loaders.

I may have to look them over again. Edited by Randall53

I'd like to own a Rhino just to have as an oddity. They look like whoever engineered them put a lot of time into it, I'd like see if there is any real practical difference to one over a traditional revolver.

Most comment that the low bore axis is really nice, very little muzzle rise for the power. What puts me off is it has more moving parts in it than a Swiss watch.

I had their 1911-22. Got it from a guy who said it would jam once or twice every mag. I polished the feed ramp and it was a new gun. I could not make it jam. I would run through a mag as fast as I could it was awesome. Not a tight fitting gun but it was fun as heck to shoot. Sold it for some AR parts but should have kept it.

How about the shotguns OS? I really like the looks of the C9-12 PUMP SHOTGUN GHOST. 8+1 loaded up with double naught buck would make an great bedside companion

Never owned anything Chiappa. From what I read on forums seems to be majority positive opinions overall, but still a "second tier" manufacturer compared to the best mainstream brands.

Yeah, I feel like I'd rather have an 870 or ideally for me a bennelli nova. Now their 1887 is cool, not a lot of other options being made if any for something like that. One of those could be... interesting.

I still like the Rhino but I'd have to find a good deal on one to take the chance.
