Based on how y'all talk, that is. The yankees who thought this quiz up think they can tell where y'all come from by what y'all call things. Where I come from they call that meddlin'.

I had to take the test about four times, slightly amending my answers to some questions.  It finally deduced that I came from southern stock but placed me in the deep South, rather than the Texas/Oklahoma area where I was raised.  But try telling know-it-all yankees that.

It seems fairly accurate. It picked Little Rock, AR, Chatt. TN, or Columbus, GA. I was born and raised in East TN so it's not too far off base.

Hey RebCowboy, I think if it doesn't work it means your from GA.

Well , I guess you can take a the Yankee out of the north but not the north out of they Yankee. It said I was born in upper Illinois near a town called Aurora. I was raised in a town about 25 miles from Aurora for the first 17 years of my life and since then I have lived in Tennessee and I am 65 now.

not too far off.  It said Lexington and I was raised in WV about 3 hours from there.

I did have to ammend some of my answers to answers similar to my home town.  Many have changed since ive lived father south, such as "Coke" vs "pop"

Louisville, Lexington and Tallahassee.  Born and raised in WV.

Lived in Michigan 33 years - guess it didn't take.  Good!

Lexington. I was born and raised here in the backwoods. I blame it on 5 years of traveling on Uncle Sams dime with long periods spent in Socal and Japan. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

I have lived all over Georgia.  I was born in Atlanta, moved to the Savannah area, went to two different colleges, and I just realized the other day that as of this year, I have lived in northwest Georgia the longest.  The quiz pegs me as being most similar to Jackson, Birmingham, and Columbus, which are geographically distance from where I am "from" but kind of make sense.  I can trace my ancestors to as far back as Alabama and Mississippi.

Some of the answers I knew the answer as one way, but it's not how I normally speak.  Like the question about the road on the side of highway.  If someone asked me to define it, I might call it a service or frontage road, but I don't generally call it anything other than, "a road."

Pegged me as Nashville because i said "coke". Chattanooga and Columbus (GA) as alternates.

This also proves why I didn't get along with my former boss. My least similar was Minneapolis.. which is where she was from!

It nailed where I was born and raised.

Iffen the quiz had asked the right one question, it would have known I was from northern WV:

"How many syllables are in the word 'no'?"

The WV answer is 2 - it's pronounced 'naaaaoowwww' where I come from.
