Here is the e-mail I got from Ron Jackson:

Saturday September 13th: Trade day at the club. Set up under the rifle shed. Will be going on at the same time the IDPA match is held. Bring pistols, rifles, shotguns, reloading supplies, and any shooting/hunting items to sell, trade, or just look for new toys. The last trade day had some great deals! Call Paul 838-4570 or Steve 517-5413 for more info.

I think I'll head up and see if there are any good deals.

A question that will probably be asked is if this is open to GGC non-members. I don't know the answer to it, but I would assume yes since it's going to take place during the IDPA match, and those matches are open to non-members.

The only problem is that the gate stays locked so you will be at the mercy of a card holder to let you in.

I don't know exactly how that works on match days, but I would imagine they keep the gate open on match days since non-members sometimes compete in them. Otherwise there'd be a line of cars waiting to enter for the matches until someone comes along with a gate card.

Maybe someone who knows more about it than me can clarify.

The last times I've been there I've either gone through the gate on the bumper of someone else, or had to call someone that was already there to let me in.

I don't think the gate can be left open...it's all electronic and from what I've gathered ran by the TVA.

damn...a swap meet AND IDPA...and I'll be in Todds class in Smyrna...oh well...probably help me save money by NOT going

That is exactly how it works, except that shortly before the matches start someone gets sent down to make sure there isn't somebody stranded there patiently waiting.
