OK, so they reacted. What I find sort of disturbing is that someone could walk onto a train, with a handgun out, and everyone is so oblivious to their surroundings, they don't even notice, not even after the BG attempts to hold up someone. Not until the second person reacts does anyone even notice.

Folks are to worried about checking Facebook and whatnot on there phones to pay attention to whats going on around them.... Good grief! It is good to see that there are at least a few folks that were willing to stand up to the guy.

The reaction of those people is just bizarre.

Too bad the gun didn't "accidentally" discharge a round into the head of the bad guy.

I'm sure he was a good kid. Edited by BrasilNuts

Brutally honest: Since I haven't been in that situation, I couldn't tell you with 100% certainty what I would do if I was on that train, but the grown men (boys) just running away....  I sure hope I don't do that.

-now, if I have my small children with me, it will be a different story.  Without hesitation, I get them to cover, asap, then I get them to safety, then I evaluate the developing situation.

Exactly my first thought. I let my filter edit my post though :)

i see something different in the passengers reaction. while some are oblivious of their surroundings, more see what is happening and do nothing.

like peace said, i don't know how i would react, but i hope i would not see what is happening and turn a blind eye.

If anyone of us witnessed this, what would we have done? I know what I would have done. You know, feeling in danger and all, and the "third party" law and all....

And people are concerned about open carry? Give me a break. Society has their head lodged so deep up their rear they they wouldn't have noticed if this guy carried an RPG into the bus.

Man it is sad that our youth can not hop on a train today and go to work without some people ganging up on him.

How long will it be before some family members start posting things like this?

I applaud the citizens on this train, makes you wonder if he would have done this knowing half the people could be armed.
