M1 Garand - CMP SA Service Grade

Just received this morning.  Oct 1943 production Springfield Armory.  Muzzle reading of 1+.  Throat Reading of 2+.  Wood is certainly not new, but I'm not an expert to know if it's original.

Outstanding!  Appears to have the original finish.

 

I already see a couple of WWII parts.  Rear Sight, Trigger Guard, Gas Cylinder Lock.

 

Looks to have a very nice HRA stock, note the "large porch" area behind the receiver.  If the proof mark is a without serifs, then its a HRA.

 

Just a fine example of a post-war rebuild.  With those barrel readings it should be a great shooter!

Wood is certainly not new, but I'm not an expert to know if it's original.

CMP only has original military M1 Garand’s. So it has to be an original military stock.
They have some that they put new stocks on, but they are clearly marked and sold as new stocks.
